What's happening this week:
Wednesday 13th April Final Certificate Assembly and Easter Bonnet Parade (make your bonnet at home and bring it along to show us all)
Friday April 15th 9.00 am:
A special Assembly for all to attend - Mrs Christine Harris' official retirement celebration
Although Mrs Harris officially retires at the end of the week, she will be continuing to teach Year 5 on most days up until at least the Whitsun break. She will then continue to come into school regularly to help us with our school improvement work.
The Year 6 pupils will be prepared and taken through their SATs by Mrs Cook, After the Whitsun break Mrs Cook will move into Year 5. As she will be their year 6 teacher next year, this will give her extra time to get to know the children well.
In year 6 Mrs Grant (formerly Miss Constable ), Mr Brickles, and Miss Wilson will continue to be the main teaching and support team who will take the children through the fun part of their last few weeks at Brookfield and help them prepare for their move to secondary school.
After School Club
There will be no after school club on Friday 15th April.
Breakfast Club
All children in year 5 and below must be signed in by a responsible adult to attend this facility. We are unable to take responsibility for any child who is not signed in by an adult.
Thank You!
Year 6 FREE SATs Breakfast Club
Come and have your breakfast and support your friends as you go through the next two important weeks - Starts 8.00 from Tuesday 3rd May
Following a suggestion from a parent, we are looking into trying out a new "credits" system for pupils in Yr 4-6 so that they have a better idea of how near they are to achieving their next award. Our current Super Students will also be included in this so they keep ‘‘on track'' until the end of the summer term.
Miss Lucas returns from her maternity leave after the Easter break. We are very pleased to welcome her back.
As she will be working part time from now on, and the office work has had to be re-organised, she and Mrs Flint have requested that we set aside one day in the week for Uniform purchase.
If you wish to buy uniform items, please call into the office on MONDAYS and the admin staff will be pleased to help you.
Our thanks and best wishes to Mr Kirby and Mrs McNally who have kindly helped us whilst Miss Lucas has been away.
